Do you have a Denver Public School (DPS) student and have questions about the possible teacher strike?
On January 22, Denver teachers through the Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DTCA) voted overwhelming to go on strike, advocating higher pay and a fundamental change in their compensation system. The start date of the strike is uncertain at this time.
Mi Casa’s afterschool program at the Lake Campus will continue to provide programming like normal during the afterschool hours. If you have any questions about Mi Casa’s programming, please call 303-571-1881.
You can receive regular updates on the DPS website at teacherstrike.dpsk12.org. Additionally, DPS has prepared the following Family Resource Guides in English and in Spanish. DPS has assured that schools will be open in the event of a strike. School meals will continue to be provided as usual, and bus transportation will operate at normal schedules.
