Mi Casa Resource Center teaches job-seekers the skills they need to succeed in today’s workplace through workshops, intensive training, and 1-on-1 career coaching.
This video highlights Olga’s story. She worked with Mi Casa’s Career Coach, Daniel, to identify her goals and develop a customized career plan to reach them. “Not only did he help me fix my resume, he helped me have more confidence when I went to interviews,” said Olga.
Daniel was one of 28 career coaches who participated in the first cohort of the Governor’s Coaching Corps, a Skillful initiative. This intensive program gives coaches the tools and training they need to better serve job-seekers in our rapidly changing labor market.
“The Governor’s Coaching Corps has really reinforced Mi Casa Resource Center’s model of focusing on the individual’s vision of success,” said Daniel. “The best part about working with Olga was empowering her to say ‘Hey, you have a voice. You can most definitely do this.'”
Thanks to support from the Governor’s Coaching Corps, Daniel was able to help Olga secure her dream job.
