Mi Casa

Mi Casa Resource Center® partners with the U.S. Economic Development Administration and UnidosUS to host Panel Discussion — Avanzando 2 Good Jobs Denver: Partnerships in Action

Meeting the Moment: How Avanzando 2 Good Jobs is Upskilling the Next Generation of the Colorado Workforce.

DENVER, CO — A year after being awarded the Avanzando 2 Good Jobs Challenge grant, Mi Casa
Resource Center® and UnidosUS have committed to working with educational institutions and
employers to upskill and reskill low-income jobseekers into promising positions and
advancement through a combination of work experience and continued education.

The Good Jobs Challenge is part of a suite of American Rescue Plan programs developed by EDA
to equitably distribute its $3 billion allocation to assist communities nationwide in their efforts to
build a better America by accelerating economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and
building local economies that will be more resilient to future economic shocks.

On September 27, 2023, UnidosUS, Mi Casa Resource Center® and key stakeholders will present a
labor analysis that reviewed the most critical in-demand skills and educational teachings and
how to apply them in real world trainings to ensure that the next generation that is joining the
labor force is prepared to compete in the most in-demand industries of the 21st century

The public is invited to attend the panel discussion and can register using the following link:
